Job Description
The Workday Financials Consultant has responsibility for providing support for applications in the clients application portfolio. The Workday Financials and Integrations individual will work with the Financial teams by assisting with configuring, testing, advising and supporting the Financial modules implemented as deemed appropriate serving as a liaison between both internal and external customers. This position will provide solutions on how to leverage Workday’s Finance modules along with Integrations, including Cloud Connect interfaces, and increase the system’s proficiencies in order to increase the ROI of the business.
Experience – Workday
• Workday Integrations: 2 years of experience
• Workday Financial Mgmt: 2 years of experience
• 2 years of experience in ERP web service integrations (i.e., REST, SOAP, WSDL, XML)
• Experience in Project Delivery / Management
• Experience and in-depth knowledge in Workday or other Financial Business System
• Experience and in-depth knowledge with Financial Business System role-based security administration for HR, payroll and financial business users
• Experience and in-depth knowledge with the creation of new and maintenance/support of integrations including benefits, payroll, Maximo, and active directory
• Experience and in-depth knowledge of deployment of periodic vendor releases to Business System
• Experience with researching and deploying new Business Processes within Business System to determine benefit to organization.
Responsibilities:
• Meet with Workday partners to build/test solutions
• Help prepare training documentation on the Workday Financial modules
• Identify risks and determine solutions
• Prepare Workday workbooks on the behalf of the customer.
• Stay up on latest training on Workday Financial and Integration modules including applicable Cloud Connect interfaces.
• Analyse, configure, test and implement the functional aspects of Workday projects
• Collaborate and lead other consultants and the quality assurance teams to develop and test significant new functionality and enhancements.
• Lead in local and regional Workday Financial module review sessions, requirement gathering session facilitate requirements meetings, development walk through, and user acceptance testing sessions with the client.
• Excel in development activities such as configuring, testing, documentation and maintenance support within the implementation of customized solutions
• Provide accurate work estimations and target completion dates about the specific area of expertise, and be accountable on these
• Maintain knowledge of standard Workday business practices, employee life cycle, data migration and interfaces to Third Party Vendors.
• Understand and deliver Workday custom reporting solutions to customers - Report Writer
• Deliver functional specifications/requirements to customers
• Deliver quality test scenarios and test scripts
• Coordinate and perform all testing of system changes with process owners
• Configure Workday Financial modules based on the client requirements.
• Provide solutions based on the client requirements detailing advantages and disadvantages and provide recommendation based on the industry best practice.
• Serves as liaison between business customers and systems areas.
• Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, system coding, testing, changes, and corrections in accordance with policy and SOX auditing compliance
• Excellent communication skills.
• Translate client business rules to functional business requirements. Possess strong analytical skills.
• Recommends new solutions and upgrades in alignment with strategic plans and business requirements
• Perform user administration and security management
