Job Title: Lead Big Data Cloud Engineer | GCP
Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Position type: Contract
Contract duration: 12 months+ extension possible
Job Details:
Require Lead Cloud Engineer/ Technical Lead for my team to help with GCP Big data platform building effort
• Experience in implementation of GCP projects.
• Hands-on experience with using Cloud Platform provided Big Data technologies (i.e. Databricks, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Data flow etc.)
• Experience in migrating workload from on-premise to cloud and cloud to cloud migrations.
• Hands-on experience in setting up Cloud platforms for use-cases.
• Hands-on Experience in Big Data technologies - Hadoop, Sqoop, Hive and Spark including DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with GCP Compute, Storage and Security components.
• Strong in Unix/Linux shell scripting.
• Good to have knowledge of VPC, Private/Public Subnet, Network Security Groups, Firewalls.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, data analysis and research skills.
• Demonstrable ability to think outside of the box and not be dependent on readily available tools•
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are necessary.
Minimum years of experience: 5+
