Title: Technology Architect
Location: Bridgewater, SD
Duration: 6 Months
Client is seeking Technology Architect for Data Center Server Build and Migration project with exposure to VMware stack, Network Configuration, Workload Migration, VMWare, Windows for on Premise DC Migration
This role requires design and development of the infrastructure solution comprising of
• Server Build- Based on ESXi build and configuration, VM build and provisioning with Linux, Windows, LPAR provision on AIX, deploying VMs, physical server build on x86 and IBM power system-based servers.
• Network configuration- Network configuration to support the server build in the data center, load balancer configuration, WAN router configuration, Top of Rack switches, management switches, DMZ switches implementation and configuration, Updating NMS tools with devices added
• Storage Configuration- Allocation of storage and LUNs, file share, storage arrays, upgrade storage controllers, establishing storage replication link across DCs, VM addition to storage, zone creation on SAN fabric, creating NAS shares and allocating NAS shares to server.
• Capacity Expansion of servers, storage and network devices.
Should be an expert at contributing to different phases of the consulting, implementation and service operation lifecycle. Be intensely involved in design, build, migration and capacity expansion; work on the problems and contribute to the solution development. Will also play a lead role in the design, build, migration and capacity expansion and deployment of the overall solution to optimize, improve and future proof the customer’s strategy. Should guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, client training and internal capability-building and help detail the project. Will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solution on their strategy that enable our client to meet the changing needs of their global business landscape and future proof their landscape.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
• At least 10 years’ experience in implementing infrastructure data center solutions and enterprise transformations.
• Single point of contact for all the teams on the overall solution.
• Expert in ESXi platform, VMware technologies, hypervisors-VMWare.
• Expert in Windows servers build and implementation
• Good knowledge in server operating systems like Windows, Linux and AIX.
• Proficient in VMware cluster and PowerHA Cluster technology
• Good knowledge in design and implementation of data center network solutions.
• On premise server and application migration expertise.
• Security – High level Infrastructure skills including access security, network security, web security etc.
• Advise the customer executives on their cloud strategy roadmap, improvements, alignment and further improvements.
• Proven experience assessing clients’ workloads and technology landscape.
• Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive project from architecture standpoint
• Ability to quickly establish credibility and trustworthiness within key executive stakeholders in client organization;
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills;
• Front ending with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to scale up the architecture based on the future client roadmap and strategy.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in various virtualization technologies, hypervisors-VMWare and Hyper-V.
• Knowledge and preferably working experience of automating server build and migration.
• Strong knowledge in Linux, Windows and AIX OS platform
• Strong knowledge of Policy Based Routing
• Knowledge in storage products-EMC, Hitachi.
• Tools – Should have high level knowledge and building blocks of management tools like ServiceNow, SCOM, SolarWinds etc.
• The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
