Position Summary:

 

DEP is looking for a strong .Net developer with C#, utilizing ASP.Net MVC, ADO.net and entity framework to help develop and expand an existing e-permitting system.  The candidate will be part of an agile team focused on continued development and configuration of an electronic permitting (e-permitting) system for the Department and its bureaus.  The candidate must also be extremely strong and well-versed in UI/UX design, including HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, AJAX, and jQuery.  Extensive experience utilizing Visual Studio 2019 or newer is required.  Experience managing work items and source code in VSTS/DevOps is also strongly preferred.  The ideal candidate would also have familiarity with Oracle Data Provider (ODP.NET).  This individual will work as part of a larger development team that is following agile development methodologies, so experience with agile/SCRUM development is preferred.

• Codes enhancement and development programs and/or required fixes to production problems using the functional and technical programming standards.
• Design and Develop UI screens.
• Develop these enhancements or features using: C#, ASP.NET MVC, ADO.NET, AJAX, jQuery, JavaScript, XML, CSS and Visual Studio 2019.
• Tests enhancement and development programs.
• Participates in structured code reviews/walkthroughs.
• Executes all required process steps.
• Create and provide content for operational documentation to Technical Writers.
• Utilize configuration management tools, design tools, debugging tools, and any other environment specific tools necessary to create, test and implement an application.
• Work in an agile team environment.
• Manage and complete assigned tasks in Azure DevOps.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• 5+ Years: Development of IT Solutions
• 3+ Years: C#
• 3+ Years: ASP.Net MVC
• 3+ Years: UI Design (HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery)
• 2+ Years: Visual Studio 2019
• 2+ Years: TFS/VSTS or DevOps
• Oracle Data Provider (ODP.net) is (highly desired)
• 3+ Years: Oracle PL/SQL is (highly desired)
• 3+ Years: MS SQL Server 2008 or newer is (highly desired)
• Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience is (highly desired)
• 2+ Years: Development of services and/or APIs is (highly desired)
