Title: Database Developer with PostgreSQL Location: Austin, TX (Remote) Duration: 12+ Months
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Experience as a Database Developer or similar role.
- Strong hands-on expertise with PostgreSQL, including SQL, PL/pgSQL, stored procedures, triggers, indexing, and query optimization.
- Demonstrated experience working with large-scale, high-volume enterprise applications and mission critical data environments.
- Strong understanding of relational database design, normalization, and data modeling principles.
- Proficiency in performance tuning, execution plan analysis, and troubleshooting complex SQL behaviors.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating on multi-disciplinary project delivery.
- Foster effective collaboration and communication within the project team, including developers, testers, and stakeholders. Actively participate in meetings, discussions, and code reviews to ensure alignment and efficient workflow.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and multiple concurrent projects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with ETL pipelines, data integration tools, and batch processing frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and database deployment automation.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar) and managed PostgreSQL services.
- Experience supporting government or public sector systems
