Job Title: Big Data QA

Job Location: Atlanta, GA

Job Duration: 6+ months

Rate: Open

Interview Mode: Zoom or Skype interview with hiring team (Technical in nature)

 

Skills:

 

Ø  Testing in Complete agile environment

Ø  Integration Understanding

Ø  ETL

Ø  Cloud Architecture

Ø  Languages: Python, R, DB2

Ø  Master data management experience

Ø  CDM Experience

Ø  Understanding of Security (desired but not required)

Ø  3rd party system integration or data source into data platform

Ø  CI/CD understanding

Ø  Hands-on Talend work experience (anyone with this skill will have an advantage over other candidates)

Ø  Understanding of big data platforms and technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Databricks)

Ø  Understanding of data visualization principles and concepts.

Ø  NoSQL databases and modeling (Cassandra, HBase, MongoDB)

Ø  General understanding and exposure to Azure cloud

Ø  General understanding of Cloud Data Warehouse solutions (Snowflake, Azure DW)

Ø  Exposure in Microsoft technologies like SSIS, SQL Server, SSRS

 

The key responsibilities for this role:

 

1.      Typical QA testing on an Agile scrum team

Resource must be comfortable working in an Agile environment

2.      Thought leadership

Resource should know how to figure out what should be tested, advise on gaps in testing, with a focus on data quality

Resource should have the ability to look at the architecture, the purpose, and end goal, and determine how to test, what to test, why to test

3.      Ability to capture/retain knowledge for the company for long term knowledge

Consulting firm wants to be able to transition the data lake to Inspire after they leave

The resource should be interested in a long-term engagement

The resource should be interested in understanding the entire ecosystem

The resource should be prepared to document the system and have a willingness to train/mentor others about the system

The resource should have a strong conceptual understanding of enterprise data implementations both in the cloud and on prem

The resource should have a desire to become a long-term asset so that the knowledge of the system is not lost after the project ends
