Job Description

Looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong analytical skills to help build and enhance our Big data application. This individual's day-to-day work will involve using Java, Scala, SQL, Big Data, Linux, git, and maven/gradle to design and build software solutions that are fast, scalable, and flexible.
Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science
• Advanced and demonstrable analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Professional programming experience in an enterprise setting
• High volume transactional environment experience
• 6+ years of software development experience as a Java developer
• 6+ years of software development experience as a Spark/Scala developer
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing large scale distributed data intensive platforms with high resiliency, availability, and reliability.

Desired Skills:

• NoSQL databases such as MapR DB, HBase, Cassandra
• Big Data Components/Frameworks such as Hadoop (MapR), Spark, Yarn
• Big Data querying tools such Hive
• Experience in Big Query and Cloud computing.
