Education 
Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience 

Degree in Computer Science 

Experience 
8-10 years relevant experience 

Required Experience: 
Experience database engineering; experience working with in-house and vended database engineering solutions; administrative experience; troubleshooting experience within an IT function 

Required Job responsibilities: 

Working knowledge of multiple technical platforms utilized in area of responsibility 
o SQL Server versions 2005/2008/2012/2016 
o Knowledge of Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 
o Configuration and support of Windows Native Clustering and SQL Clustering and SQL Always ON technology.
o Experience in advanced batch & PowerShell scripting 
o Experience working in backup technologies
o Knowledge and experience working with monitoring tools (Idera Diagnostic Manager, Foglight) 
o Oracle database knowledge 11.2.0 (desirable but not essential) 
o Proficient in SQL, store procedures, packages and functions
o Service Now knowledge (desirable but not essential) 
Working knowledge of fundamental IT concepts, systems, platforms, tools and technologies, hardware, software and services 
ITIL framework knowledge and certification is preferred.
Applied knowledge of technology to control and safeguard the collection, organization, structure, processing and delivery of data 
Applied knowledge of programming, coding and scripting in various languages 

Skills 

Support the implementation and execution of business-aligned databases in various formats 
Work with technology and choose the appropriate technological tool for a given task; design and set-up 

Notes: This role will be focused on database design. If candidates have not designed in an SQL environment, they will not be a fit for the role.

Working in a clustered environment is essential. Candidate must also have enterprise level experience.
