Must Have- Skills/Prior Experience:
Recent exp. with Any one Client- American Electric Power, Southern California Edison,
Duke Energy, FirstEnergy, Xcel Energy, First Energy, PG&E, Light Sail Energy, Pacificorp, Southern Company, San Diego Gas & Electric, Bear Valley Electric or Liberty Utilities

* Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider one year of
relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education.
* At least 10 years of experience in administrating Oracle database environment.
* At least 8 Years of experience with Oracle database Configurations, Backup and
Recovery, Database Reorganization, cloning & replication technology,
Performance Tuning, RAC, Data guard in production environment.
Responsibilities
* Day-to-day activities include monitoring and maintaining these environments and
related DB software
* Primary Responsibilities include:
* Over all responsible for database track service delivery and first point of escalation
* Transition ownership starting from transition planning, knowledge transition,
Secondary support, Primary support and steady state
* Work on incident, problem, change and release management activities
including ticket resolution
* Team management, shift planning, work allocation, SLA reporting
* Good command on advanced technologies like RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Exadata, CDC,
Streams, OEM12c etc
* Owning and driving weekly team meeting with clients and project team members
* Stakeholder management and communication management
* Ensuring SLA adherence and providing Weekly and monthly Status Report for
incident,
Availability, Change and Problem management
* Participate in DB Strategy Council meetings to discuss roadmap, Reference A
rchitecture,
Defining Standards and Applying best practices etc.
* New business support by participating in Project initiation meetings, Estimation,
Scope definition
* Implement continues service improvement initiatives and automation
* SPOC for major incident management
* Team mentoring (including skill enhancement) and team performance evaluation
* Identify technology/resource gaps and mitigate by arranging trainings, mentoring
* Subject matter expert for Oracle technology track and working knowledge for
SQL Server
* Analytical and Communication skills
* Planning and Co-ordination skills
Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, replication management,
problem triage, and backup recovery.
Participate in performance, capacity and scalability analysis and planning for
both existing systems and new initiatives.
Setting and maintaining standards, policies and procedures from an operations
perspective supporting enterprise databases.
Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the Database through Database
Tuning using Tuning Queries, SQL Tuning advisor, Tuning Application
