Job Title: Oracle Lead DBA
Location: San Ramon, California
Position type: Contract
Contract duration: 12 months+ extension possible
Must Have-
Recent exp. with Any one Client- American Electric Power, Southern California Edison, Duke Energy, FirstEnergy, Xcel Energy, First Energy, PG&E, Light Sail Energy, Pacificorp, Southern Company, San Diego Gas & Electric, Bear Valley Electric or Liberty Utilities
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 14+ YEARS
Required
* At least 10 years of experience in administrating Oracle database environment.
* At least 8 Years of experience with Oracle database Configurations, Backup and Recovery, Database Reorganization, cloning & replication technology, Performance Tuning, RAC, Data guard in production environment.
Responsibilities
* Day-to-day activities include monitoring and maintaining these environments and related DB software
* Over all responsible for database track service delivery and first point of escalation
* Transition ownership starting from transition planning, knowledge transition, Secondary support, Primary support and steady state
* Work on incident, problem, change and release management activities including ticket resolution
* Team management, shift planning, work allocation, SLA reporting
* Good command on advanced technologies like RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Exadata, CDC, Streams, OEM12c etc
* Owning and driving weekly team meeting with clients and project team members
* Stakeholder management and communication management
* Ensuring SLA adherence and providing Weekly and monthly Status Report for incident , Availability, Change and Problem management
* Participate in DB Strategy Council meetings to discuss roadmap, Reference Architecture, Defining Standards and Applying best practices etc.
* New business support by participating in Project initiation meetings, Estimation, Scope definition
* Implement continues service improvement initiatives and automation
* SPOC for major incident management
* Team mentoring (including skill enhancement) and team performance evaluation
* Identify technology/resource gaps and mitigate by arranging trainings, mentoring
