Title: Automation Development & Support engineer
Location: Plano, TX
Duration: 6+ Months

Responsibilities:
Responsible for quality assurance, troubleshooting and software development of automation solution for automotive multimedia head units.
* Support lead developer with code writing or modification.
* Provide technical support to internal customers, including, but not limited to:
o Document creation and/or videos on automation solution features o Host troubleshooting and training sessions
o Collect automation system logs on potential software issues or enhancement opportunities.
* Host weekly calls with offshore teams to review project status (bilingual skills required).
* Review and translate requirements between Japanese and English language.
* Create, modify and execute automated test scripts.
* Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily standup, sprint planning, sprint refinement and sprint demo.
* Responsible for evaluating each software release before deployment. * Report software issues and/or enhancement opportunities to TMNA Product Owner or lead developer.
Skill Set:
Bi-lingual fluency (listening, speaking and writing) in Japanese and English languages.
* 1 - 2 years of working experience with Agile methodology.
* 1 - 2 years of automation testing. Experience related to automotive infotainment systems a PLUS.
* 2 - 3 years of experience in scripting (including, but not limited to JavaScript, Python, LabView) and testing.
* 2 - 3 years of experience in quality assurance of automotive infotainment systems, preferably (related but not limited to) Bluetooth, apps, handsfree calls, navigation, audio and voice assistance functions.
* Ability to articulate and dissect complex issues into simple and meaningful format.
* Prior knowledge of automated testing of Android and iOS mobile devices with open source tools a PLUS.
* Experience with agile and waterfall development cycles.
* Experience working in a dynamic environment including multiple parties such as internal team members, business partners and external suppliers. Prior Toyota experience a PLUS.
