UI /UX Designer Job Description: 

 
We are looking for a Visual Designer to work with our team on a web-based financial platform. This role will work closely with the UX and dev teams to assist with translating wireframes and prototypes into comps and mockups. The Visual Designer will also participate in the overall functionality and brand experience of the product. 
 
Responsibilities: 
*Work with product owners and UX Lead to improve the user experience related to core functionality and new features 
*Work with UX Lead and developers to standardize global components and design elements 
*Provide guidance with typography, iconography, color, and layout 
*Collaborate with UX and Dev teams to help maintain style guideline documentation 
 
Requirements for this role: 
*At least 5 years of experience in digital design practice 
*Demonstrated experience and portfolio examples of complex design problem-solving efforts for sophisticated digital products or services 
*Excellent communication, organization and team interaction skills 
*Proficiency with prototyping tools   

* Must be able to work independently 
* Experience with Style Guides, and profiles/ personas. Need someone who understands the user journey and style.  
* Need to understand industry norms. 

* Front-end development experience with JavaScript, CSS and HTML preferred.
