The F5 Load Balancer engineer or administrator will analyze and maintain the network’s F5 Load Balancer infrastructure. The professional must be an expert in F5 Big-IP Load Balancing platforms and will possess a working knowledge of switches, routers, and firewall concepts.
The ideal candidate would also have some Middle Tier engineer web experience with working knowledge and hands-on experience with WebLogic server administration. Experience with other web related technologies such as Red Hat Apache, IBM HTTP server(IHS), WebSphere and Microsoft Windows IIS administration a plus.
Must have Skills
Must configure and maintain F5 Load Balancers and have good knowledge of WAN/LAN network management and monitoring.
Look into the daily administration of the network load balancer environment.
Keep track of network performance, respond to problems and deploy solutions
Implement, upgrade and install any new equipment required
Ensure load balancing configurations and PKI certificates are backed up
Create, manage and troubleshoot load balanced IP address spaces
Develop, collaborate, and implement technical solutions.
Support customer requirements in a 24/7/365 environment.
Develop and update technical solutions, operations, and maintenance documentation
Experience working independently on technical network activities in support of a client.
Experience interfacing with team members on requirements and solutions.
Responsible for loading and saving system configurations.
Map IP addresses with NATs and resolve routing issues with SNATs.
5 years of experience monitoring and administration of F5 Load Balance appliance.
3 years Web administration a plus
