Job Description

Database Analyst #1430

STMS Data Analyst – The Data Analyst will provide support for enterprise reporting to the Legislature and the Executive Office of the Governor. This role will involve preparation of reports, analysis of data within the system and management of reporting templates used by agencies to report their travel to Executive Office of the Governor or the Legislature. The analyst will also provide support to agencies with generating their own reports.

Qualifications:

Proposed Database Analyst #1430 shall meet the following minimum qualifications/requirements:

  1. Experience in analysis and compilation of diverse sets of information from diverse sources (e.g. software applications, hard copy, electronic files) into structured and documented information solutions mapped to newly formed business requirements.

 

  1. Experience in serving in system administration and data analyst roles for managing enterprise level COTS systems of large scale;

 

  1. State of Florida financial system background in the specific area of expense tracking and FLAIR integration; and,

 

  1. Specific experience with Salesforce development and application support is strongly preferred.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Support Analysis and Problem Resolution

  1. Serves as the liaison between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the vendor’s support and development teams.
  2. Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts effectively, transforms high-level information into details, and creates support strategies and troubleshooting methodologies.
  3. Develops requirements and specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. College diploma or university degree in business, commerce or information technology with Business Analysis Certification with at least five (5) years of experience, or the equivalent in education and experience.
  2. Experience in operations/process engineering development and maintenance.

Criminal Background

Work Schedule

  1. Weekly billable hours are not to exceed fifty (50) hours, unless prior written approval is provided by the Department.
  2. The Department and the Contractor will mutually agree in writing to a five (5)day regular work schedule with the exception of established State of Florida observed holidays.
  3. The work location will be located in Tallahassee, Florida.
  4. The work schedule and locations are subject to prior approval by the Department’s Contract Manager.

DELIVERABLES

The deliverables are the work tasks outlined above under Job Description of this Scope of Work, which shall be fully documented upon invoice submission. A monthly timesheet shall be submitted in accordance to the requirements.

Timesheets shall be prepared, signed by the individual performing the work, and delivered to the Department’s Contract Manager on the first (1st) business day of the following month. The timesheet must include a daily log of hours worked with a summary of tasks performed and deliverables completed for each day and the total hours worked and at a specific hourly rate.

The timesheet must be approved by signature of the Department’s Contract Manager and shall be returned to the individual performing the work within three (3) business days after receipt.
