I have a Solutions Data Architect Pharmacovigilance position available in Morristown, NJ. This is a 6 month contract with high potential for longer assignment.

This position seeks to further develop capabilities in the field of holistic data and information management for the Pharmacovigilance (PV) area of Research & Development (R&D). It will identify the specific needs for PV, will align them with other R&D areas and will design and implement a holistic data flow and process support to support cross-functional R&D knowledge capturing, sharing and usage. Furthermore, this will drive and influence the implementation of the PV IT architecture to further strengthen information integration and data analytics capabilities.
Duties:
Key responsibility to drive content and consult the implementation of Pharmacovigilance IT architecture to further strengthen company’s information integration and data analytics capabilities
• Design holistic data flows and processes for Pharmacovigilance and align with other R&D areas to support cross-functional R&D knowledge capturing, sharing and usage
• Interact with other data architects and data scientists to derive and implement user-centric IT projects
• Strengthen capabilities in usage of pharmacovigilance and electronic health data
Education Requirement(s):
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, mathematics or related field
Skill & Competency Requirements:
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the Life Science industry, IT or R&D
• Proven track record in several of the following areas of expertise
IT enterprise architecture strategy, implementation and governance
o data model and business capability analysis, strategy and definition
o solution architecture design and programming
o knowledge about drug discovery and drug development processes in the healthcare industry
o creating IT frameworks in digital health or related disciplines of data-driven R&D
o data- and knowledge management, especially in data annotation, as
o well as in use of ontologies or controlled vocabulary
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Enjoy developing and implementing innovative ideas and creative concepts
• Good awareness and experience in change management for global environments
• Profound know-how in the area of Information Architecture and Data Integration in regard of process, methods, and tools
• Long-term experience of business information systems deployment
• Having a logical approach to the solution of problems and good conceptual ability and skills in analysis;
• Being self-reliant and capable of both independent work and as member of a team
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills as well as experience in managing matrix organizations
